Chris Satullo, a leading expert in civil dialogue and engagement moderates our civil discourse forum. He has performed this role since the forum’s founding in 2013.
Satullo is the 2016 professional in residence at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg Center for Public Policy, and he is principal of Keystone Civic Ventures LLC, a consultancy. Satullo is also civic engagement consultant for the Committee of Seventy, the Philadelphia civic watchdog group.
Previously, Satullo was employed at WHYY/NewsWorks as vice president for news and civic dialogue. Under his leadership there, the media outlet launched its online content site, NewsWorks; the radio programs, NewsWorks Tonight and The Pulse; and the statewide reporting initiatives, StateImpact PA and Keystone Crossroads.
Satullo joined WHYY in 2008 after nearly 20 years at the Philadelphia Inquirer. There, he served as editorial page editor and a columnist, among various positions. In 2006 co-founded the Penn Project for Civic Engagement, at the University of Pennsylvania.
